Ingredients

OG Rice Krispies Treats

  • 6 tbsp cannabis-infused butter (or a combination of infused and non-infused butter, to your potency preference. See our calculator for help)
  • 1 10oz bag jet-puffed marshmallows plus an optional 1 cup as a mix-in
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • pinch of fine sea salt or canna salt

Rainbow Rice Krispies Treats

  • Substitute 3 cups Rice Krispies above for 3 cups Fruity Pebbles

Chocolate Rice Krispies Treats

  • All the OG ingredients plus the following
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Equipment

Directions

  1. Line a 9x9 (or similar) baking dish with parchment paper cut to size and set it aside.
  2. Over medium-low heat, melt your weed-infused butter. Take care to melt your butter low and slow to preserve cannabinoids.
  3. Once your butter has melted, add the salt, vanilla, and cocoa powder (if using). Combine.
  4. Add the bag of marshmallows to the pot and stir to coat in butter. Stir often until the marshmallows have melted smooth, like weedy marshmallow fluff, about 4 to 6 minutes. Your kitchen should smell lovely now.
  5. Remove the pot from the heat and fold in the cereal. Work quickly as the mixture will start to set as soon as it comes off the heat. Once combined, fold in any mix-ins, such as marshmallows or chocolate chips, just until evenly distributed.
  6. Transfer the mixture to your parchment-lined dish and press down flat, making sure it fills the corners too. I like to use another piece of parchment paper and my hand for this task.
  7. Allow your treats to set for about 20 minutes, then slice and enjoy!

Storage: These are good for a couple of days at room temperature in an air-tight container. They will freeze for a few months, although the texture is not quite the same.
