CB1 Receptor
One of the two primary cannabinoid receptors in the endocannabinoid system, concentrated in the brain and central nervous system. THC binds strongly to CB1 receptors, which is what produces its psychoactive effects. CB1 receptors are involved in regulating mood, memory, appetite, pain, and motor control.
