Humulene

A cannabis terpene with an earthy, woody, hoppy aroma — the same compound that gives beer its characteristic smell. Humulene is associated with anti-inflammatory properties and, unusually among cannabis terpenes, appetite suppression. Commonly found alongside caryophyllene. In cooking, humulene-dominant strains produce earthy, complex infusions that work well in savory applications.
