Pinene

A cannabis terpene with a sharp, fresh pine aroma. Found in pine trees, rosemary, basil, and dill. Associated with alertness, mental clarity, and memory retention — and may counteract some of THC's short-term memory effects. Comes in two forms: alpha-pinene (more common) and beta-pinene. In cooking, pinene-dominant strains produce herbal, resinous infusions that work well in savory dishes.
