THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol)

The primary psychoactive cannabinoid in cannabis — the compound responsible for the high. THC works by binding to CB1 receptors in the brain, mimicking the body's own endocannabinoid anandamide. Effects include euphoria, altered perception, increased appetite, relaxation, and at high doses, potential anxiety or paranoia. THC percentage in flower typically ranges from 15–30%; concentrates can reach 60–90%.
